Life in the Margins is about the people who appear briefly in the records and then disappear again.
A name in a register. A photograph. A court case. A passport. A military record. A newspaper cutting. Sometimes only a few lines survive — but those few lines can open a door into an entire life.
This is where I follow those doors. Across Britain, France and beyond, into the ordinary, unusual, forgotten and occasionally extraordinary lives hidden in the archives.
Not famous people. Not grand history. Just people who were here.
